How do check-ins work?

Set a check-in schedule that fits your routine. When your check-in window opens, press and hold the button to confirm you're OK. You can optionally require Face ID or Touch ID for verification. If you miss your check-in, your emergency contacts receive an SMS alert.

What happens if I miss a check-in?

You'll get a grace period with reminder notifications at 20 minutes and 45 minutes after your window opens. If you still haven't checked in after the grace period, an SMS alert is sent to your emergency contacts letting them know to check on you.

How do I change my emergency contacts?

Open the app and go to Settings → Emergency Contacts. From there you can add, edit, or remove contacts.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Alive Still+ to change or cancel your plan.

How do I pause protection temporarily?

Go to Settings → Pause Protection in the app. While paused, your contacts won't be notified if you miss a check-in. You can resume protection at any time.

How do I delete my data?

Remove the Alive Still app from your device and disable iCloud sync for Alive Still in your device settings (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Alive Still). This removes all your data from both your device and iCloud.

SMS alerts aren't being delivered

Make sure your emergency contacts' phone numbers include the country code (e.g., +1 for the US). SMS delivery is supported in 200+ countries via Twilio. If the issue persists, double-check the number and contact us for help.
